Teleios has extensive experience of working in central and local government developing leadership capacity, shifting cultures, helping with change initiatives and helping unblock strategic projects. We are part of a number of harmonisation projects bringing District Councils together through a shared executive and services whilst retaining political independence.

Currently we are working with three County Councils and 14 District and Borough Councils on some aspect of efficiency or capacity building agenda. The results of our work which have been independently assessed are making a significant and sustained difference. The publication “Local Government and the Regions” heard about the results of our work and asked us to contribute an article to a recent issue. As always we prefer our customers to speak on our behalf.

“Teleios began working with us to unblock a programme of work which had become stuck despite high level commitment within the organisation. This was a high profile programme, subject to both leadership scrutiny and recent legislation, and which would potentially impact on services across the full breadth of the organisation. The project with Teleios, required them to consult across the organisation to identify barriers and to produce recommendations for resolution appropriate to the context. As a result of the work Teleios have undertaken with us, the programme is moving forward rapidly and successfully,
and the strategic work needed to underpin the wider agenda is also progressing”.

“Teleios were vigilant about the use of budget and were quick to identify where funding could be used differently or money saved, including producing a contingency project plan based on an alternative funding arrangement while we were unsure of the exact resource available. They also offered us the flexibility to agree amendments to delivery arrangements after commencement to reflect emerging need as a result of the consultation”.

Teleios is privileged to work across 3 County Councils and 12 District, City and Borough Councils in the South East Region of the UK, developing their Leadership and Change Strategies. The outcome of this work has been significant and as a result we were invited to submit an article to a national Local Government Publication.
