In our work we have observed that the challenge that many face in organisations that are “not for profit” is that expectations and aspirations increase ahead of the ability to resource and deliver. This leads to tough choices and decisions and some of these are very difficult. Leaders also have the added dimension of having many staff who are very articulate, experienced, have great skills, strong values and beliefs who have chosen to work in this sector. In other words they expect to be part of all decisions and expect their thoughts to be taken on board whatever the particular subject. One manager has said that it is like herding cats!

Teleios works with Universities and schools to help leaders stay ahead of the exponential changes in thinking and understanding that is a feature of our world. We hold senior visiting posts at Cranfield and Bristol Universities and are involved in translating academic research into pragmatic products and solutions as well as conducting research particularly around leadership change and communication. We regularly speak at Education conferences on themes of leadership and Management.

We also work with a range of aid organisations and other charities helping them define strategy and turn this into operational reality. We also help them build dispersed and high performing teams.

We see this work as being critical and important to our portfolio and it keeps us connected in our communities.
